Communication Begins in the Closet
The Hook - That's your opening statement. It must be memorable and get your audience to listening.
The line - your inside of your talk and everything in between your hook and your closing statement or your "sinker". Your sinker needs to be memorable also. You want to leave your audience with a statement that will keep them thinking. Something to remember.
You may wonder why I chose the words, "Communication Begins in the Closet". I was a very terrified and shy child and that fear carried over to adulthood. When I became an author I had to learn to be a speaker to. I had to learn to come out of the proverbial closet and overcome those fears. I want to help you overcome your fears too.
There is an old saying that goes something like this. "You only get one chance to make a first impression". We will also talk about what to wear and what not to wear. These are important topics when you are a speaker as well.
Public speaking is an art and a science. Don't cast your net wildly in hopes of making a good impression, make sure you do!
